By the Luk It Hyah newsdesk · Sources · Reporting disclaimer

The Short

Parking at Piarco and ANR Robinson airports will cost more from 1 November. The Airports Authority notice raises the hourly rate to TT$15, the daily rate to TT$95 and the monthly rate to TT$1,125.

The Full Story

The Airports Authority of Trinidad and Tobago has announced new parking charges at both international airports, according to a public notice reported in the 27 October Guardian. The hourly charge rises from TT$10 to TT$15 for stays shorter than six hours. For stays of six to 24 hours, the daily charge rises from TT$63 to TT$95.

The monthly rate rises from TT$750 to TT$1,125. The notice says it applies to parking for at least 12 consecutive days, when the monthly price can replace accumulating daily charges. Each change is about 50 per cent, although the daily rise is slightly above that because of rounding.

The rates take effect on Sunday 1 November. Travellers arranging a long stay should compare the daily and monthly brackets before leaving a vehicle; the notice does not describe any change to pick-up or drop-off rules.
