The Full Story
The company’s nine-month figures, reported in the Guardian, show lower profit and revenue despite growth in its domestic business. Chairman Gary Hunt attributed the overall decline to softer demand, constrained spending, higher local excise duties and inventory effects. Those are management’s explanations for the results; the figures show the outcome but do not independently isolate the contribution of each factor.

Domestic revenue rose 3% to TT$415.3 million, while international revenue fell 13% to TT$284.6 million. The company said North America grew 5% and the UK 31%, but weaker Caribbean sales and distributor timing weighed on international totals. Hunt also noted a proposed excise-duty reduction from January 2027; a proposed future tax change did not affect the nine-month period already reported. Readers should use the company’s dated filing to compare later results with these figures.
