The Short

TTT reports Caribbean Airlines’ figure of 14,935 passengers on the domestic airbridge from 28 October to 4 November. The airline’s traffic total is not a count of distinct Tobago Carnival visitors.

The Full Story

In a Saturday report, TTT cites a Caribbean Airlines release issued on Friday saying it carried 14,935 passengers between Trinidad and Tobago during the 28 October–4 November Carnival travel period.

The airline said it had added 8,000 seats to its core domestic schedule ahead of the event and also accommodated standby passengers. Extra seats offered and passengers carried are different measures.

The figures are attributed to the airline through TTT’s report. Luk It Hyah has not obtained the underlying traffic records or a breakdown of unique travellers, return journeys and visitors attending Carnival; the passenger total should not be treated as an independently verified visitor count.
