By the Luk It Hyah newsdesk · Sources · Reporting disclaimer

The Short

CARPHA says its third One Health multidisciplinary workshop will take place in Trinidad and Tobago on 11–12 November. The planned meeting concerns integrated surveillance and outbreak readiness; it is not an announcement of a new local outbreak.

The Full Story

In a statement dated 4 November marking One Health Day, observed on 3 November, CARPHA describes work connecting human, animal and environmental health. It says two regional workshops have been held since 2024.

The agency says the next workshop, on 11–12 November, will focus on using surveillance and laboratory information for early warning, sharing national experience and coordinating responses across sectors. These are planned activities, not verified results from a meeting that has already occurred.

CARPHA’s statement does not provide a public registration route, venue or participation terms for this workshop. It should not be read as an open invitation or evidence of a newly detected disease event in T&T. The agency’s account of wider regional programme progress is distinct from independently measured local outcomes.
