In a follow-up published at 9:03 p.m. on 31 October, CNC3 described a suspected human-trafficking link. Citing a police release, it said officers had been searching for a Venezuelan teenager allegedly kidnapped and brought to Trinidad, and that the reported victim was among the 16 people found. This adds a reported line of inquiry, not confirmation that trafficking occurred.
Story-specific reporting note
The alleged kidnapping and suspected trafficking link have not been independently established by Luk It Hyah. The reviewed reports do not establish trafficking charges or a court outcome, or clarify the allegation concerning the separately arrested man.
