The service said the package was attached to string and contained 32 packs of cigarettes, two screen protectors and 953 grams of plant-like material resembling marijuana. That description is preliminary; the statement supplies no laboratory finding identifying the material.

Acting Commissioner of Prisons Elvin Scanterbury said drone deliveries were making the prevention of contraband more complex. The service said external law-enforcement agencies were assisting its investigation. The statement did not identify a sender, recipient or arrested person.
