After the contest, Tobago tourism secretary Zorisha Hackett told TTT that the winner would qualify automatically for the 2027 International Soca Monarch semi-finals under an arrangement with the competition’s managers. Thompson welcomed the opportunity. The agreement and entry rules were not available in the material reviewed; the semi-final place is attributed to Hackett’s announcement, not reported as a place in the final.
