The Full Story
TTT reports that UN representatives met Tobago House of Assembly officials on Monday and heard a presentation on Tobago’s Strategic Development Planning Pathway for 2025–2045. The delegation included UN Resident Coordinator Joanna Kazana and representatives from agencies working on health, education, environment, migration and development. Chief Secretary Farley Augustine said the talks connected the island’s priorities with potential international partners.

The reported meeting is an exchange of plans, not an approved UN grant or a new programme with a budget and start date. Kazana praised local work on health and education, while the delegation was expected to visit existing initiatives over the following days. A joint project list or signed agreement would show whether the meeting results in specific new activity; until then, the development pathway remains the document under discussion.
