TTT attributed the work to efforts involving Rural Development and Local Government Minister Khadijah Ameen and area representatives. Residents interviewed by TTT said the repaired section made travel easier. Their accounts describe local experience rather than a measured change in journey times.
Ameen said drainage still needs attention in some sections. She said the regional corporation would work on earthen drains so water can run off without pooling on the repaired road. TTT did not give a date for that work or a final project cost.
