Luk It Hyah is a live classifieds platform. We are focused on keeping your data private and secure. This policy explains what we collect, what we do not collect, how we use data, and how long we keep it.

What We Collect

- Account data: username and email address for verified users.
- Profile contact info (optional): phone and WhatsApp numbers if you add them.
- KYC verification/profile data (when requested): legal first and last name, profile photo, date of birth, address line 1/2, city/town, region, postal code, country, phone number, and WhatsApp number.
- Advert content: title, description, category, price, location, and images you upload.
- Public Q&A: questions and seller answers shown on adverts.
- Messages: private messages between verified users about adverts.
- Reports: reports submitted about adverts, including optional contact details.
- Server logs: basic request logs for security and reliability.

What we do not collect

- No visitor emails for public questions.
- No tracking pixels or third-party analytics for personal ad targeting.
- No location tracking beyond what you choose to type into your advert.
- We do not currently collect payment card or banking information in the platform.

How we use data

- To operate the platform (posting adverts, messaging, Q&A).
- To review adverts and reports for safety and compliance.
- To perform identity and trust checks using submitted KYC/profile information.
- To contact you about account verification, moderation decisions, and safety-related issues.
- To protect the service from abuse and keep it reliable.
- To improve the site and user experience.

Data retention

- Live adverts are hard-deleted 30 days after first approval.
- When an advert is deleted or expires, related images, Q&A, reports, and messages for that advert are deleted too.
- You can request a PDF export of a message thread to your account email before advert/message deletion.
- KYC verification records are retained only as needed for verification, safety, and legal compliance.
- User accounts remain unless you request deletion or your account is removed for policy violations.

Sharing your data

- We do not sell your data.
- We only share data if required by law or to protect the safety of users.

Your choices

- You can edit or remove your adverts at any time.
- You can update optional contact details in your account.
- You can request account deletion by contacting us.

Service notice

Features may change and we may fix bugs based on user feedback. We will not change how we collect data without updating this policy.
